I installed your plug-in and it works great! I have only one question.
Using Joomla 3.9.1, I would like to change the text of the button "Download file ...." leaving only "Download File" without the file name. Then I would like to customize the text of "Already downloaded 0 time (s)". How can I do? On which server file I have to make the changes.
Can you help me kindly?
Thank you

Thanks) Well text "Already downloaded" and others you can change in file administrator/language/en-GB/en-GB.plg_content_sdc.ini from plugin version 1.1, just delete old, install new and change text constants. What about file name - if you want not to show it name in download link - open file plugins\content\sdc\sdc.php and comment or delete line 33 "$downloadtext = $downloadtext."".$name;". Workable on version 1.1, not on 1.0 be attention

Hi! Thanks for using Simple Download Counter. Put your file in ZIP or any another archieve before. All browsers support opening pdf files instead of downloading it.

Thank you for your answers
yes, I tried in "rar" format and it works very well. But many of my visitors are not used to these manipulations.
I am not an exper, but can not we re-add a line of code so that the pdf opens automatically in another window?

That`s easy. Do a patch or you can manually edit one line in plugin file?
