Well I had a few free days this week, so I spent them to update my Simple Download Counter plugin for Joomla 3. New version 1.5 is ready to use, all old versions will not be available soon, because many users download and try to use first versions, and ask me questions with problems and features, which are solved years ago. Big thanks for all who uses my plugin and helps me to make it better and better!

Today I updated my Simple Download Counter plugin for Joomla 3. Version 1.4 with some bug fixes and Spanish language support is available now. Also now your visitors can forcely download your files even if their browser wants to open them istead of downloading. I again want to say thanks for all, who has tested previous versions! I`m very proud that my little application is used at several Joomla 3 sites in net.

Making module Categories better in Joomla 3 part 3

I didn`t like how Joomla native Categories module counts articles in categories. It counts them separately, for example, if parent category has no articles, even if it has child categories with published articles - it says 0 articles in parent category. So I made new modification for it, so native module Categories counts all articles which are in all child categories in parent category. How this works you can see in right menu "Rubrics" on this blog, more info below in this post.
